Zine session- JPS

This was a very beautiful day actually. The day started off pretty well and I was excited to go the JPS building. The whole vibe of Oxford is so “Vogue”, I love it and felt very inspired. The class was held in the library and it was a very chill zine session. I loved being at the library and felt very drawn to the all the magazines and books there. In the session we were showed different zines and it was very interesting to see that there are so many different types. There were in small flip books styles, one had it’s pages put on a hanger which had an Indian print saree vibe, one was like a folded pamphlet and many were not in the traditional format. A lot of zines mostly had images and I loved those the most since I am into the styling, production and photography part of it. One that I really liked is this one –

I loved this zine because it had really cool, candid photographs and it included the work of different designers, photographers and artists. We also learned how to make a foldable zine with paper and it was really fun but I personally like the book style zines because I like flipping through the pages and getting the feel of a book.
