Easter SDS

Easter break was very fun and productive. We had to make a mind map and brain storm ideas for our zine. The zine is supposed to be about “self”. We are supposed to represent ourselves in the zine through different means. We had 4 tasks for this sds –

1. Notes, mind maps, ideas about the design.
2. Target audience board. We were supposed to make an audience board with mostly pictures of the people who we see as our ideal audience.
3. Fashion self styling shoot. Creating a photoshoot in which we were supposed to focus and model on ourselves and create look-books.
4. Photography – Capturing your concept of self thorough conceptual photography. It is like the narrative task we did in term 2.

The above photographs is from the sds – self photoshoot. I tried to capture the wildness and freedom of my personality. Throughout my life I have always tried to do the things that I want and not get pressurised by others. Many times I was suppressed and criticised about being myself and representing myself. That pressure and negativity that I faced made me very angry and isolated. That was the time I decided to be very free and be myself and never listen to the negative (sometimes sexist) comments that others made. This zine is inspired by my experiences and feelings. It represents my freedom and powerful state of mind.
